Great Lakes Aviation Conference this weekend

By Janice Wood · January 22, 2013 ·

The 2013 Great Lakes Aviation Conference is slated for Friday, Jan. 25, and Saturday, Jan. 26.

The conference offers educational seminars for all pilots from students just beginning to learn about flying to seasoned professionals. It also offers educational experiences for all forms of aviation maintenance professionals, whether just learning or those who have worked in the industry for decades.

The informational and instructional breakout sessions with the pilot in mind offer a wide variety of topics presented by expert speakers from all over the country. Session topics range from simple VFR to real-world IFR flight issues. Other seminars address weather information, aircraft ownership opportunities, FAA issues, flying destinations, and the latest and greatest of everything in aviation. For the aviation maintenance professional, we offer a wide variety of topics from maintaining your aircraft and its varied components to human factors and professionalism.

The conference features approximately 100 different exhibitors. The industry representatives will be there to talk to attendees and answer questions. Attendees can shop for avionics, pilot gear and training aids, and experience the latest products on the market.

The Great Lakes Aviation Conference will be held at Eastern Michigan University Student Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
