Jet Aviation expands in Houston and Dallas

By Janice Wood · January 23, 2013 ·

Jet Aviation recently expanded its maintenance capability at its newly acquired FBO at Houston’s Hobby Airport, as well as expanded its ramp at its FBO in Dallas at Love Field.

“We are supplementing our existing expert in-line and AOG support for aircraft of all types and sizes, by adding staff and resources to support Houston’s growing large-cabin aircraft maintenance market,” said John Langevin, vice president, FBO operations, North America.

The company hired technicians with large-cabin experience, added tooling and purchased equipment to support Gulfstream, Bombardier and Falcon aircraft operators. In addition to providing line support including AOG and due items, Houston is expanding into small to medium inspections for base and transient clients.

Maintenance is performed in a 30,000-square-foot dedicated hangar, and seven A&P technicians – with a combined total of 176 years of experience – are on staff.

In Dallas, the newly reinforced concrete ramp and added space allows Jet Aviation to handle larger aircraft, up to the size of a Boeing 757. The operation has a partnership with Southwest Airlines to utilize their air stairs, belt loaders and equipment for handling larger aircraft.
