Signature Flight Support sponsors Able Flight

By Janice Wood · February 18, 2013 ·

Signature Flight Support has signed on as a major sponsor of Able Flight, a non-profit organization that provides flight and aviation career training scholarships to people with physical disabilities.

Signature will join Embraer Aircraft and Sennheiser Aviation as host sponsors of Able Flight’s 2nd annual benefit event to be held at Fantasy Of Flight near Orlando on April 20. Their sponsorships will cover all expenses for the event allowing all proceeds to go directly to Able Flight’s scholarship fund. In addition to sponsoring the event, Signature will serve as the host FBO for attendees at its Orlando facilities at the Orlando International and Kissimmee airports.

Patrick Sniffen, Vice President of Marketing for Signature, noted, “Signature Flight Support is proud to be a sponsor of the Able Flight Scholarship fund. Able Flight’s mission aligns well with Signature’s to support the development and sustainability of the pilot community, whether flying to fulfill an aspiration or as a profession. Able Flight’s many successes in helping people with disabilities learn to fly gives all of us a touchstone in our personal and professional pursuits to achieve that which some would call impossible.”

Able Flight’s Executive Director Charles Stites said, “Signature Flight Support is known not only for the outstanding service it provides, but as a company that believes in giving back to aviation and the communities it serves. We are honored to have them join us in bringing inspiring people into aviation. This benefit event is not an awards show with a lot of speeches; it’s a celebration of success. It’s a party with great music and great food, and most of all, wonderful people in a spectacular setting, and all for a great cause.”

For information on attending the party, contact Able Flight at [email protected] or call 919-942-4699.

Signature Flight Support, a BBA Aviation company, is the world’s largest FBO and distribution network for business aviation services. Signature services include fueling, hangar and office rentals, ground handling, maintenance and a range of crew and passenger amenities at domestic and international locations. Headquartered in Orlando, Florida, Signature operates at more than 100 locations in the United States, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia.

Able Flight is a national aviation nonprofit providing flight and aviation career training opportunities for people with disabilities and is the only one of its kind in the United States.
