EAA Chapter 551′s Mark Priglmeier recently sent out an email blast with a review of the Twin Pines Resort Fly-in Review — with the headline “WOW!” More than 55 planes flew in — on ice — leading one attendee Dave Tannehill to dub it “Icekosh,” with a nod to the year’s biggest show in Oshkosh.
“The goal for the fly-in at Twin Pines Resort on Mille Lacs Lake (Minnesota) was to provide a fly-in we could all treasure for the rest of our lives,” Priglmeier says. “I can say without a doubt that this goal was not only met, but exceeded every parameter.”
“Beautiful planes, beautiful people, a wonderful resort and marvelous weather not only provided a perfect setting, but forged memories we all can look back on years from now with an everlasting smile,” he continued. “Thanks to everyone for being so polite and courteous both on the ground and in the air. We put on a premiere event we can all be proud of. These are the actions that build the kind of public relations that are going to grow this thing we call aviation.”
As always, Mark sent along photos of the day…Enjoy!
Great fun and food with service to match…
