The Jet Collection, a Chicago-based aviation dealership and brokerage, is expanding, opening offices in Dallas, Tampa and San Francisco, with more offices planned, including several abroad.
“As the economic climate continues to improve, we have decided to bet on the aviation market by seeking out the top sales leaders in business aviation,” said Jason Zilberbrand, president, The Jet Collection.
The Jet Collection’s Dallas office will be headed up by J. Michael Zabkar, Jr., a seasoned business aviation executive. Through his more than 40-year career in aircraft acquisition and sales, Zabkar has directly sold or managed aircraft sales exceeding $4 billion.
David Stone will run The Jet Collection’s Tampa office. A commercial-rated pilot with more than 15 years of aircraft sales experience and more than 100 successfully completed transactions under his belt, Stone will focus on helicopter sales, as well as corporate jets and turboprops.
The Jet Collection’s San Francisco office will be led by Bruce Shinneman. Shinneman began flying for the military in 1970. Since then, he has logged almost 22,000 miles in the air and has gained extensive flying experience with popular aircraft, including BBD-700 Global Express, CL600/601 Challenger, and DC9-30/MD80.
Founded in 2004, The Jet Collection is an aircraft dealer, and an airplane, jet and aircraft broker based in Chicago. The company handles business and commercial aircraft sales and acquisitions for midsize, large and global corporations, foreign governments and private individuals worldwide.
