CAV Ice Protection to open Kansas City ops center

CAV Ice Protection will open a North American Operations Center at New Century Airport (IXD) in Olathe, Kansas, near Kansas City. The move has been planned since the fall 2012 and will be effective April 2.

“We are very excited to announce our new North American Operations Center in the Kansas City area,” said Ken Weaver, CAV Ice Protection Vice President–Sales and Marketing. “CAV Ice Protection’s on-going growth and future business plans will result in new ice protection products and services, greater support and expanded capabilities at our facilities in the U.K., Poland, Mexico and the United States.”

CAV Ice Protection is planning to grow its new Operations Center in the Kansas City area by as many as 12 people, including engineering, technical, sales and administrative staff, Weaver added. Positions added will be in operations, sales, warehousing, distribution and product support.

“After over a decade in Salina, Kansas, CAV Ice Protection is relocating its North American headquarters to the Kansas City area. The transition will benefit our aircraft ice aircraft protection customers through more efficient operations and better service.”

CAV Ice Protection is a subsidiary of CAV Aerospace Ltd., which has manufacturing centers in Consett, Leicester, and Wales, in the U.K., Poland, and Mexico. It also has a North American Operations Centers in Kansas City, Kansas and offices in Poland, and Manchester, U.K. The company has created ice protection systems for numerous aircraft manufacturers, including: Cessna Aircraft, Cirrus Aircraft, Commander Premier Aircraft, Diamond Aircraft, Beechcraft Corp., General Atomics, Hawker, Mooney Aircraft, Piper Aircraft, Quest Aircraft, Socata EADS.
