Tempest tapped by Continental

By General Aviation News Staff · April 15, 2013 ·

GIBSONVILLE, NC – Continental Motors, Inc. has selected Tempest as its supplier of choice for spark plugs and oil filters.

Tempest introduced its line of oil filters in 2004, and in December 2009 completed the acquisition of the Autolite spark plug line from Unison Industries. Tempest oil filters and spark plugs have design features that make them the products of choice of many aircraft owners, OEMs, fleet operators and maintenance shops worldwide, according to officials with Tempest Plus Marketing Group. The internal magnet contained in Tempest oil filters and the state-of-the-art fired-in resistor technology of Tempest spark plugs are just two examples of the features that make Tempest an industry leader in design innovation, officials add.

“We are honored that Continental Motors has entrusted us with supplying spark plugs and oil filters for their factory engines. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to a long-term relationship with Continental Motors and its customers,” stated John Herman, President of Tempest Plus Marketing Group.

Continental Motors will begin delivering its Gold Standard factory rebuilt and new engines with Tempest spark plugs and oil filters as standard equipment this month.
