AirNet Systems joins CAV Ice Protection installation network

NEW CENTURY AIRPORT, Kan. — CAV Ice Protection has reached agreement with AirNet Systems to install the company’s patented TKS aircraft ice protection systems.

AirNet, with aircraft maintenance bases in several locations, has already begun installation activity at its headquarters location at Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), Columbus, Ohio. Other AirNet Maintenance and Repair (MRO) facilities capable of TKS Ice Protection installations include St. Louis and a facility in Tampa, Fla., which can service South American customers.

“Appointing AirNet as an authorized CAV Ice Protection installer is the beginning of a larger strategy to make installations more accessible to owners of the many aircraft models capable of being upgraded with proven ice safety technologies,” said Ken Weaver, CAV Ice Protection Vice President–Sales and Marketing.

AirNet Vice President of Aircraft Maintenance Chuck Paul said, “We are pleased to add CAV Ice Protection to our range of authorized aftermarket installation capabilities, including Honeywell, Rockwell, Collins, Garmin, Aspen Avionics, Bendix King and Shadin Avionics. CAV’s proven TKS Ice Protection System will complement our avionics, engine, airframe and overall repair station services.”

AirNet has a 53,000-square-foot maintenance facility at Rickenbacker. Throughout its organization, AirNet employees 40 A&Ps, 50 pilots and operates a fleet of more than 130 aircraft.

CAV Ice Protection is a subsidiary of CAV Aerospace Ltd.,which has manufacturing centers in Consett, Leicester, and Wales, in the UK, Poland, and Mexico. It also has offices in Poland, and Manchester, UK. The company has created ice protection systems for numerous aircraft manufacturers, including: Cessna Aircraft, Cirrus Aircraft, Commander Premier Aircraft, Diamond Aircraft, Beechcraft Corp., Hawker, Mooney Aircraft, Piper Aircraft, Quest Aircraft, Socata EADS.
