Sandia debuts panel punch

By General Aviation News Staff · April 29, 2013 ·

Aircraft owners and their avionics shops now have a more economical way to install Sandia Aerospace’s STX 165 transponder without accruing three to four hours of time cutting the existing panel. The company has a panel punch that makes the task easy.

Drill a hole in the panel and then draw the punch with a wrench. The panel punch is available for rental for just $1 and shipping costs both ways.

“You’d be hard-pressed to find any other way to spend just one dollar and save hundreds on an aircraft upgrade, but the panel punch does it,” says Sandia Aerospace President Dennis Schmidt. “We are pleased to offer our customers this option.”

To rent a panel punch, contact Sandia Aerospace at 505-341-2930.
