The Great Lakes Aviation Expo is expanding in its 14th year with a move to the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.
“With a recent addition of an on-site Hyatt Hotel and the expanded exhibit floor, it is a natural move for us to handle the increasing attendance for this annual event,” said Dr. Phil Tartalone, event chairman.
“Our attendance has been increasing and coming from all over the Midwest over the past few years,” he continued, noting the expanded exhibit area will allow larger exhibits, including aircraft, while the on-site hotel allows for those people traveling from out of town to stay right on site.
The Great Lakes Aviation Conference. slated for Feb. 14-15, 2014, encompasses all facets of aviation. Fixed wing pilots, maintenance professionals, balloon and rotor seminars and exhibits are featured over the two-day event.
The conference will offer two full days of IA renewal seminars in addition to more than 60,000 square feet of exhibit space. The new exhibit hall can handle full size aircraft displays, rotor craft displays and larger exhibits.
“The line up of break-out sessions has been second to none and the pilots and mechanical professionals usually fill all of the 50 or so sessions,” according to Carol Callan from the Southeast Michigan FSDO.
The Great Lakes Aviation Expo is now accepting applications for speaker presentations and special presenters.
