BIG LAKE, ALASKA — Airforms, Inc. has obtained two additional approvals from the FAA as part of an expanding product line for Cessna Caravan aircraft.
Airforms received an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for replacement high-strength wheel assembly hardware, and a Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) for replacement interior cabin vent assemblies.
The wheel bolt hardware replacement is applicable to all Cessna 208/208B aircraft and interfaces with all existing landing gear modifications. The FAA PMA replacement cabin vent assemblies are eligible for installation in passenger versions of the model 208B; their function has been enhanced with thicker material and replaceable metal end caps for increased part life and value, according to company officials.
“Our Caravan product line represents a new and expanding emphasis for our company.” said Lee Budde, president. “We are working closely with fleet operators to understand their needs. Both of these approvals – the high strength wheel bolts and replacement cabin vents – were a direct result of that collaboration. Our capability to deliver new products to the 208/208B market in a timely fashion has been enhanced by the addition of an experienced full-time FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER). We anticipate further PMA replacement part approvals for the Caravan aircraft in the coming months as our product line expansion continues.”
Airforms, Inc. maintains stock of all its FAA Approved parts and assemblies. Complete cabin vent assemblies and sets are ready-to-ship with a durable powder coat finish in textured black. Wheel bolt STC kits are in stock for aircraft with and without brake disc spacers. Current kit pricing and more information can be found at Airforms.biz
