The IMC Club International, a membership-based organization focused on instrument rated pilots and flight instructors with a network of chapters throughout the nation, has released a 30-minute training DVD on how to start and run an IMC Club Chapter.
The viewer gets to see an introduction by the IMC Club founder and Club President Radek Wyrzykowski, who explains how IMC Clubs came about and its purpose. Radek also reviews the IMC Club website, concentrating on member benefits while demonstrating how to access them.
“I still try to attend as many new chapter openings as I can,” he said. “I wish I could attend them all. My hope is that this DVD will generate my ‘virtual presence’ at IMC Club chapter meetings I will not be able to attend, and that it will help to explain our concept and mission to even more pilots worldwide.”
The DVD also contains a section about the IMC inaugural chapter meeting, including an introduction for chapter leaders, which prepares them for their inaugural chapter meeting. It gives guidance on location, equipment, promotion, meeting format, and tips for planning chapter meetings. Also included in this section is a website review concentrating on chapter recourses and how to use these to promote the chapter; and a one minute IMC Club promotional video called: “Why IMC.”
The new DVD is available free of charge to all new chapters and will be available for purchase by existing chapters for a small fee.
The primary goal of the IMC Club is to create a community of pilots that shares information, provides recognition, fosters communications, promotes safety and builds proficiency in instrument flying.

Just joined the IMC Club KY Chapter (I’m currently working on finishing my instrument rating.) Can’t wait for our first official meeting (either July 3rd or 10th.) After all the effort I definitely feel this is an important-enough organization to help keep me current and up-to-date after I earn the rating…
We have an IMC Club at Reigle Airport, 58N, in Palmyra PA. We , with Seth & Mark Martin, who started the club, review different senarios. I look forward to this meeting every month. I’ve been an instrument rated private pilot for almost two decades and learn something every meeting.
