New name for Florida aviation association

By General Aviation News Staff · June 18, 2013 ·

The Florida Aviation Trades Association members agreed to a name change to better describe exactly who they are and what they represent — The Florida Aviation Business Association.

The decision was made at the annual conference held June 10–12 in Naples, Fla.

The association also held the election for officers and board members.

The following were elected for two year terms: Deric Dymerski, Atlas Aviation, President; Vice-President/Secretary/Treasurer Mike French, Signature Flight Support; board members, Bob Tyler, Air-Sur, Inc., Lyndse Costabile, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; Bill Garghill, Sheltair Aviation; Paul Rose, Banyan Air Service and Sandy Showalter, past president.

“The most important thing to your new president and our wonderful board is to succeed, grow and provide great value to you. We want you to get out much more than you put in, and vow that you will,” stated Dymerski in a message posted on the association’s website.
