Burlington Aviation to host open house

By General Aviation News Staff · June 25, 2013 ·

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington Aviation, a Cessna Pilot Center and a FAA Part 141 flight school at Burlington Alamance Regional Airport (BUY) , will host a Discover Flying Open House July 6 from 12:30 to 3:00pm.

The public is invited to learn more about flying, see and tour the new Cessna Skyhawk aircraft, and enter to win prizes, including a Learn to Fly online study course, a David Clark 13.4 Aviation Headset and Burlington Aviation ball caps, according to company officials. Hot dogs and other refreshments will be served and classic cars will also be on display.

The event is part of Cessna’s Discover Flying Challenge, a cross-country flying tour with a mission to create excitement in aviation and to spark a desire to learn to fly. Six Cessna pilots are flying Skyhawks in six different directions, covering the entire United States. These pilots and Burlington Aviation flight instructors will be available to answer any questions about Cessna and the Learn to Fly program.
