Black Diamond Jet Team performs flyover for Transformers: The Ride-3D

By General Aviation News Staff · June 26, 2013 ·

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Black Diamond Jet Team, an aerobatic jet team based in Lakeland, Florida, recently performed a five-ship flyover as part of a grand opening event for Transformers: The Ride-3D at Universal Studios in Orlando.

The grand opening event featured an elaborate battle simulation based on the Transformers movie. The spectacle included “Optimus Prime” and “Bumblebee” Transformers in vehicle form along with numerous “NEST” soldiers and a pyrotechnic display. The jet flyover was an integral part of the scenario, representing an aerial attack sequence in the simulated battle and serving as the climax of the grand opening event, according to officials with the jet team.
