HOUSTON – Houston Executive Airport (TME) has completed construction of 40 new T-hangars at the general aviation airport.
This brings the airport’s leased capacity to more than 170,000 square feet, according to airport officials. The hangar construction comes alongside the recent completion of a FBO terminal building that features one of the world’s largest arrival canopies.
“Business is booming here in Houston and at Houston Executive Airport,” said Andrew Perry, the airport’s executive director.
Houston Executive’s new 22,500-square-foot FBO terminal building opened in May. The arrival canopy measures more than 32,800 square feet.
Henriksen Jet Center offers 24-hour aircraft fueling, ground handling operations, rental and crew cars, crew lounge, catering services and complimentary wireless internet access. The facility also offers long-term corporate leased space.
Located along Houston’s energy corridor in west Houston, Houston Executive Airport was funded and developed by Ron Henriksen, who has more than 40 years’ experience in aviation. In addition to opening Houston Executive Airport in 2007, he opened Austin Executive Airport in 2011.
“It’s incredibly gratifying to see the impact both Houston and Austin Executive have on local businesses, “ said Henriksen. “We work hard every day to a make sure we not only meet our customers’ needs, but to also exceed them.”
