Mobile app for G1000 training released

By General Aviation News Staff · August 1, 2013 ·

OSHKOSH – Jeppesen has released a mobile app to offer Garmin G1000 avionics system training program on iPad.

The mobile G1000 training app covers all IFR and VFR operational aspects of using the installed avionics system in flight.

Garmin G1000 avionics supported by Jeppesen data feature large-format, high resolution displays for enhanced situational awareness in the cockpit, company officials said.

“The Garmin G1000 is a popular avionics platform and our new mobile app offers all material from our current G1000 training courses with new tablet-based features,” said Julie Filucci, senior manager, Jeppesen Aviation Training Solutions. “This mobile avionics training program provides a comprehensive solution for initial or recurrent learning of all G1000 avionics systems.”

The new G1000 mobile app from Jeppesen offers choices for pilot instruction, including the full G1000 training course, or individual programs such as IFR, VFR or individual course chapters for purchase. A scenario-based, guided simulation system provides training for all core functions and tasks required of G1000 avionics.
