By General Aviation News Staff · September 6, 2013 ·

FlightSafety International has expanded the training it offers for Cessna aircraft at its Learning Centers in Orlando, Florida; San Antonio, Texas; and Wichita, Kansas.

“We are pleased to now offer training for the full line of Citation XL series aircraft in Orlando, and to add simulators for the Citation CJ2+ in San Antonio, and the Cessna Caravan equipped with a Garmin G600 avionics suite in Wichita,” said Steve Gross, Vice President, Sales.

FlightSafety’s Orlando Learning Center now offers training for the Citation XLS+ using a simulator equipped with a Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite. The simulator has been qualified to Level D by the FAA; Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil of Brazil; Mexico Directorate General of Civil Aviation; and the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia. The Orlando Center offers training using 11 full flight simulators. They include the Citation Bravo, Citation CJ2, Citation CJ3, Citation Encore, Citation Mustang, Citation Sovereign, Citation X, Citation XL, Citation XLS, and Citation XLS+.

Training for the Citation CJ2+ is now available at the San Antonio Learning Center. This is the only dedicated Citation CJ2+ simulator available worldwide, according to company officials. It is equipped with a Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite and is qualified to Level D by the FAA; Transport Canada; the Mexico Directorate General of Civil Aviation; and the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia. The San Antonio Center offers training for the Citation II, Citation SII, Citation III/VI Citation CJ, Citation CJI, Citation CJ2+, Citation Ultra, and Citation XL.

A new Level D qualified Cessna Caravan simulator equipped with a Garmin G600 avionics suite has been installed at the Cessna Learning Center in Wichita. The simulator also features FlightSafety’s Vital X visual system and electric motion and control loading technology. The Wichita Center now offers four Caravan simulators. They are equipped with Garmin G1000, G600, and G430/530 avionics, and BendixKing KLN 94 GPS by Honeywell. The center also provides training for the Citation VII, Citation CJ3, Citation CJ4, Citation Encore, Citation Encore+, Citation Mustang, Citation Sovereign, Citation X, Citation XLS, and Citation XLS+.

FlightSafety has been the official factory authorized training organization for the Cessna Aircraft Co. since 1979. The company has 45 Cessna aircraft flight simulators at Learning Centers in the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.
