The Silver Wings Fraternity will host its 2013 annual convention in Oshkosh, Wis., from Oct. 17- 20.
The convention hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn on Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH).
President James McCarthy, LTC, USAF (Ret), said tours are scheduled at Sonex Aircraft Co. and the EAA Airventure Museum, as well as guest speakers.
Silver Wings Fraternity is a charitable and educational membership organization founded in 1958 by aviation pioneers. Its membership consists of pilots and others with a genuine interest in aviation, who endeavor to provide educational opportunities in aviation to young people, and who seek fellowship and camaraderie with aviators worldwide.
It hosts and maintains a clubhouse at the annual SUN ’n FUN International Fly–In & Expo in Lakeland, Florida.
Funds from its Aviation Scholarship Program are given annually to non-profit aviation educational organizations and to qualified high school and college students pursuing careers in aviation.
