Gulf Coast Avionics named John Gauch VP of sales

By General Aviation News Staff · October 15, 2013 ·

LAKELAND, Florida – Rick Garcia, president of Gulf Coast Avionics Corporation, has appointed John Gauch as vice president of sales.

“We are excited to add John Gauch to our management team,” Garcia said. “He is an experienced aviation professional with a proven track record in a variety of managerial positions. He will play a vital role in the future growth of our company.”

Gauch comes to Gulf Coast Avionics from Cirrus Aircraft where he served as Fleet Sales Director and Vice President of Domestic Sales. His experience also includes three years at Diamond Aircraft as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and 15 years at Sporty’s Pilot Shop, the last four of which he served as president of the company.

Gauch is a graduate of Kent State University in Ohio with a BS Degree in Aerospace Management. He holds a Commercial pilot’s license with an Instrument Rating and has logged over 4,000 hours of flight time.

“I am pleased to be joining an organization like Gulf Coast Avionics,” Gauch said. “They have an enviable distinction of being the first and longest-standing Garmin dealer and they have clearly established themselves as a widely respected supplier of avionics, instruments and pilot supplies on both a domestic and international scale. They are also a highly regarded installation center for avionics upgrades and custom panel completions, and I look forward to assisting with the further development of their product and service offerings.”

Gulf Coast Avionics is a major supplier of avionics, instruments and pilot supplies to customers around the world and is an FAA Approved Repair Station, No. UB4R564M, Class 1, 2, 3/Limited Instrument.
