New name for Spirit Avionics

By General Aviation News Staff · November 4, 2013 ·

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Spirit Avionics is now operating under the registered trade name Spirit Aeronautics.

“The name Spirit Avionics has been a core element of our business since 2000 but it doesn’t accurately convey our evolving business, which is more than just avionics, although we remain a premier avionics service company,” said Rick Ochs, chairman and CEO. “After convening with the Board of Directors, we elected to rebrand the company to better reflect our growing addition of world-wide aviation service commitments. Obviously the change will not happen overnight and we are proud of the legacy of Spirit Avionics which has brought us a great deal of success.”

“Leonardo da Vinci once said that “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication,” added Tony Bailey, president. “The idea with rebranding is to allow our full span of business offerings to receive equal name recognition and not remain isolated as a single function or service. It also preserves the heart behind the Spirit name, which was adopted after our founder had the epiphany that it was going to take spirit and faith to make the company the success he had always envisioned.”

With the adoption of its new brand and logo, Spirit Aeronautics will launch a redesigned website
