EAA to expand College Park during next year’s AirVenture

By General Aviation News Staff · November 13, 2013 ·

EAA AVIATION CENTER, OSHKOSH, Wis. — The College Park area at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, which made its debut in 2013 with dozens of aviation colleges and universities taking part, will expand in 2014 to include more opportunities for those seeking aviation careers and job openings.

College Park brought together the numerous aviation schools that regularly exhibited at Oshkosh into one location right along the flight line. During week Oshkosh last summer, events included a job fair for current aviation professionals and a college night that welcomed high school and college-age students who were exploring aviation education.

“The first year of College Park at Oshkosh was a tremendous success, but we also heard from many aviation professionals and enthusiasts who were looking for even more opportunities,” said Holly Williams, Business Relationship Manager at EAA. “We know that Oshkosh is a place where the most diverse group of aviation people from around the world connects, so we want to make it even easier to build those networks.”

In addition, a new aviation careers exhibit area will debut adjacent to College Park in 2014. The area will highlight companies recruiting for those interested in aviation careers and will host an expanded aviation job fair during AirVenture 2014.
