WINDSOR LOCKS, CONN. — The New England Air Museum will hold its annual Santa Visit & Behind the Scenes Tour Friday, Nov. 29, the day after Thanksgiving. Santa, who will meet and pose for photos with children between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will have a gift for each child.
The Behind-the-Scenes tours will give visitors the opportunity to take a close-up look at some of the museum’s current restoration projects, including the P-51D Mustang Racer, the Douglas DC-3, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, a U.S. Navy Blimp Car from World War II, Burnelli CBY-3, several vintage engines and more. The museum’s Research Library will also be open.
The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12 for ages 12 and up, $11 for seniors 65 and up, and $6.50 for ages 4 to 11. Children under 3 are admitted free.
