Open House held for remodeled Landmark FBO at ORF

By General Aviation News Staff · November 25, 2013 ·

An Open House was held Nov. 14 to showcase the remodeled Landmark Aviation Norfolk International Airport (ORF) facility.

Guests in attendance included current and former directors and commissioners of the Norfolk Airport Authority, as well as City of Norfolk Councilman Barclay Winn.

“The Open House was a culmination of many months of planning and coordination between the Norfolk Airport Authority and Landmark Aviation,” Landmark-ORF General Manager Steven Schell explained. “We look forward to being able to better serve our customers and the Norfolk Community in this new state-of-the-art facility.”

The renovation project took just over one year to complete. The facility now features lighted parking with 103 additional parking spaces, a 25-foot canopy for loading and unloading passengers, an environmental storm water discharge vault, an elliptical lobby with large windows overlooking the corporate aircraft hangar, as well as an executive conference room and VIP lounge.

“This significant investment in Norfolk International’s FBO facilities demonstrates the Norfolk Airport Authority’s commitment to our General Aviation community and our partnership with Landmark Aviation,” Norfolk Airport Authority Executive Director Wayne Shank stated.

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Landmark Aviation operates a network of FBOs located throughout the U.S., Canada and Western Europe. The Company offers a wide range of services, including FBO, MRO, aircraft management & charter.
