The fifth annual Toys for Tots Fly-In will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at California’s Oceano Airport (L52).
The fly-in will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pilots are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy. The Oceano Airport Toys for Tots event is in cooperation with the US Marine Corps.
Live holiday music will be performed and a tri-tip BBQ lunch is available. On display will be various aircraft and antique autos.
Also available will be rides in a 1943 Yellow Super Stearman and skydiving over the Pismo Beach coastline.
Fuel service on the field will be offering a $.25 per gallon fuel discount and donating another $.25 per gallon to Toys for Tots, according to organizers.
Camping is available on the field, as well as nearby state campgrounds. A local resort is offering a room discount to those that have flown in for the Toys for Tots event.

Thank you to GA News for the shout out. It is little events like this that help our communities see the value of our general aviation airports.
Our annual Toys for Tots event means that the kids in our Five-Cities area get an extra toy under the tree for Christmas. We have added a few fun events this year.
We enjoy the help of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and many local volunteers.
Think about what charitable events you can have at your airport, from a canned food drive, to an event for a humane society, to an airport day or display day. These events don’t have to be expensive or fancy, just fun.
