Sporty’s introduces nylon A-2 jacket

By General Aviation News Staff · December 3, 2013 ·

Now available from Sporty’s is the nylon A-2 Jacket for pilots.

It’s a mid-weight jacket warm enough for cool days, yet light enough to wear in flight, Sporty’s officials say. The A-2 is constructed from waterproof nylon so it sheds water and is durable enough to withstand daily wear.

“The Nylon A-2 is warm enough for all but prolonged time outside during the coldest winter days,” says Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “It’s a good choice for pilots, including professional pilots and flight instructors who want the classic silhouette of the A-2 while still being lightweight.”

The Nylon A-2 jacket has all the detailing of its leather cousin including epaulet holders, knitted cuffs and waistband, side-entry handwarmer pockets and top-entry snap pockets.

Available in sizes small through extra-extra large, in addition to long sizes in L through XXL. The Nylon A-2 Jacket [8152A] is available for $150 (XXL an additional $15).
