Avflight to open operations at KSLN

By General Aviation News Staff · December 20, 2013 ·

SALINA, Kan. — The Salina Regional Airport (KSLN) will ring in the New Year with a new FBO on the airfield as Avflight Corp. begins operations Jan. 1.

The Salina Airport Authority board of directors approved a new lease agreement for customer service, hangar and fuel storage facilities at the Dec. 18 board meeting.

“We are excited to have Avflight joining the Salina Regional Airport,” said Daran Neuschafer, board chairman. “We have always been proud of the world-class service on our airfield and we believe Avflight will only enhance that service. We look forward to a very positive long-term partnership that will serve our current users and entice new users. Their reputation precedes them and we are privileged to have them on our team.”

Salina Regional Airport is known as “America’s Fuel Stop” as its mid-continent location makes it an ideal tech stop for cross-country flyers, as well as supporting a substantial amount of local and regional business, airport officials note.

Avflight Corporation operates nine FBO locations, including Detroit (DET), Flint, Mich. (FNT), Lansing, Mich. (LAN), Saginaw, Mich. (MBS), and Ypsilanti, Mich. (YIP), Durango, Colo. (DRO), Harrisburg, Pa. (MDT) and Roswell, N.M. (ROW). Avflight is part of the Avfuel-branded FBO network of 700 independently-owned FBOs around the globe.
