Mineral Wells Airport adds link taxiway

By General Aviation News Staff · December 30, 2013 ·

MINERAL WELLS, Texas — A new taxiway has been constructed by the City of Mineral Wells to link the airport’s 6,000 foot and 4,000 foot runways to three businesses, a 54-acre tarmac and dozens of acres of adjacent raw land that is available for development.

Part of the large tarmac will be available for the construction of new T-hangars to fulfill the needs of aircraft owners that have been on a waiting list for many months, according to airport officials.

The new taxiway also supports the city’s effort to attract aviation-related businesses to existing buildings and sections of the large hangar, as well as encourages construction of new corporate hangars and aviation-related manufacturing, support and maintenance facilities, airport officials said.

For more information: MineralWellsAirport.com, or contact the airport manager, Bobby Bateman, at 940-328-7808, or the Mineral Wells Aviation Business Center at 940-327-8404.
