Contract awarded for site work at MYR

Beaufort Engineering Services (BES) was recently awarded a contract for Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), the second busiest airport in the state.

Awarded by Horry County Department of Airports (HCDA), the contract is comprised of site work associated with the construction of new hangars, design and construction of T-hangars and large storage hangars, and up-fits/expansions/renovations to existing hangars located at HCDA facilities at Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway and Loris.

The initial contract term is for one calendar year with a potential to renew for four additional consecutive terms, not to exceed a total of five years.

Founded in Beaufort, S.C., in 1976, with offices in Beaufort and Fairhope, Alaska, BES is an architecture, engineering and construction firm specializing in sustainable design and design/build practices. BES has extensive prior project experience designing and constructing passenger terminals, hangars, runways, taxiways and ancillary facilities at Charleston International Airport, SC, Marine Corps Air Station-Beaufort, SC, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Ala., Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, SC, and Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
