An air racing symposium will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, Calif. It will feature top winning race pilots, who will share some of the best air racing stories from the last five decades, museum officials promise.
The event is based on the “Chasing Reno Gold” DVD that brings together all of the Reno Air Races winning Unlimited Gold pilots to talk about flying and racing.
DVD producer Mark Chiolis will moderate speakers, including Darryl Greenamyer, seven time Unlimited winner; Bruce Lockwood, two time Unlimited winner; “Secret” Pete Law, who helps to make pilots go faster at Reno; Clay Lacy, 1970 winner and the highest flight hour pilot on record today; Steve Hinton, two time winner and Unlimited pace plane pilot; and Steven Hinton, winner of the last five Unlimited Gold races.
