Embry-Riddle launches international research journal

By General Aviation News Staff · February 9, 2014 ·

The International Journal of Aviation, Aeronautics and Aerospace (IJAAA) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide is now accepting submissions from scholars in academia, industry and government.

Founded in 2013, this peer-reviewed, online publication focuses on global issues currently facing the aviation, aeronautics and aerospace industries.

Topics of interest include: Current aviation problems and solutions; launch and space operations/missions; air traffic control; unmanned systems (limited to aerial and space); STEM education; manufacturing, safety, security, finance and management, logistics, legislation and regulation and human factors in aviation/aerospace.

“We decided to start our research journal to give academia and industry a place to publish a broader array of scholarly work. Currently, most aviation/aerospace journals focus on aviation education — specifically higher education — which is clearly limited in scope,” said Editor-in-Chief Dr. David Ison. “We hope that individuals working in industry and government agencies will look to us as a potential outlet for the publication of their research efforts. In addition, our journal aims to provide authors with a congenial review and publication process.”

Submissions should be well-researched articles that combine sound methodologies with current references, officials note.

The journal also accepts book reviews and non-peer-reviewed position papers on contemporary issues.
