Second PS-28 Cruiser Cup to be held in UK

The second annual PS-28 Cruiser Cup will be held in the United Kingdom Aug. 29-31, according to officials with Czech Sport Aircraft.

This year’s event will be organized and run by Kairos Aviation, the company’s distributor for the United Kingdom.

Five companies will be official sponsors of this year’s event: Garmin, Dynon Avionics, Aviation Trading, Bose and Bigatmo, company officials add.

“The original idea behind this event was to provide a unique opportunity for current and potential future operators of the aircraft to come together and share experiences and opinions while enjoying some cross-country flying and social activities over the course of a weekend,” said Peter Foggin, managing director of Kairos Aviation.

The base for the PS-28 Cruiser Cup will be Compton Abbas Airfield in Shaftesbury, Dorset.

SportCruiser I-9728, piloted by Andrea Gambusera was the overall winner of the 1st PS-28 Cruiser Cup in 2013. The Cup will pass from its current home in Italy to Compton Abbas in the United Kindgom in advance of the 2014 event.
