NEW YORK — An agreement has been reached in which ZuluLog will purchase substantially all of BlackBox Aviation System’s assets related to its aviation record-keeping business.
Under the terms of the agreement, BlackBox Aviation’s existing customer base for its aviation logbook services will be migrated to ZuluLog’s cloud-based service. After the transition, BlackBox’s users will log directly into ZuluLog.com, and will have access to ZuluLog’s industry-leading logbook and pilot currency services.
“We are very excited about this acquisition,” says Kelly J. Bonner, ZuluLog’s Executive Vice President of Customer Relations. “BlackBox Aviation’s founders, Matt Hale and Madhav Reddy, have done a great job building their online logbook service and customer base and we look forward to bringing BlackBox’s existing users into ZuluLog’s award-winning cloud technology. Given the strength of BlackBox’s management team and the commitment they’ve demonstrated to their customers, we anticipate a smooth transition.
“This agreement is a win-win for everyone: ZuluLog, BlackBox, and the customers of both services,” Bonner continued. “ZuluLog strengthens its market position by adding a solid base of private and commercial pilots, and we increase opportunities to expand sales of our multi-user ZuluLog Professional service to Part 91 and 135 charter companies, defense contractors, and law enforcement agencies.”
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and the migration is expected to be complete within the next few weeks.
