Bahamas and Caribbean VFR charts for iPad and Android released

By General Aviation News Staff · April 26, 2014 ·

The 2014 Bahamas VFR Chart and the 2014 Caribbean VFR Chart are now available on the iPad and Android tablets.

The Bahamas and the Caribbean VFR Charts include both VFR and IFR data, creating hybrid charts that have the information you need for flying the islands. The charts are geo-referenced.

Bahamas Charts iPadPilot Publishing teamed with PDF Maps by Avenza to offer these charts with tools, including the ability to measure the distance between airports in nautical miles and save them in the measuring tool. Use the GPS tool while in the map’s region to track your position on the chart.

The chart apps can be used in conjunction with the Pilot’s Guide app for the Bahamas and Caribbean.

The 2014 Bahamas and the 2014 Caribbean VFR Charts are $10.99 each. To purchase, download the free PDF Maps app by Avenza through iTunes or Google Play, search for Caribbean VFR chart and/or Bahamas VFR chart in the Map Store within the PDF Maps app.

To purchase the 2014 Bahamas or the 2014 Caribbean Pilot’s Guide iPad apps, download through the App Store. The printed Guides and Charts can be ordered at FlytheIslands.com or call 800-521-2120.
