WASHINGTON, D.C. — The potential effects of aviation noise will be explored in a webinar May 29 conducted by the Transportation Research Board. An hour-and-a-half program will discuss noise concerns at airports.
Issues include possible effects of aviation noise on hearing, sleep, health, annoyance, and learning environment.
Although the subjects will deal primarily with airport noise, points brought out in the session could have information relative to people, such as pilots, who are frequently exposed to aircraft noise.
Presenters will discuss aviation noise during the first hour of the program and the final 30 minutes will be devoted to questions from the audience.
There is no fee associated with the program, which is sponsored by the Airport Cooperative Research Program, but registration is required. Details about registration may be obtained from [email protected].
