Rosen introduces sliding canopy for Van’s

By General Aviation News Staff · June 11, 2014 ·

Rosen Sunvisor Systems (RSS) has introduced the ARC Sunvisor assembly for Van’s RV 6-7-9 sliding canopy aircraft.

Based on Rosen’s ARC sunvisor design, the sunvisor system provides Van’s RV 6-7-9 aircraft owners flexible, multi-axis sun attenuation, stowage, glare reduction and pilot comfort during standard cockpit flight operations, according to company officials.

The ARC sunvisor system is specifically designed to mount onto the tubular airframe of Vans RV 6-7-9 sliding canopy models. The custom designed swivel mount provides stable support, secure positioning, multiple deployment and stowage options.

Rosen“We have received numerous requests to provide a sunvisor solution from Van’s 6, 7 and 9 owners,” said Gary Hanson, field engineer at RSS. “This sunvisor system provides Van’s RV operators a wide range of sun attenuation options within the cockpit, including side, front, overhead and windshield positioning.”

On average, installation of the visor system is under 30 minutes. The sunvisor assembly is available in black Anodized finish and is interchangeable for all Vans 6, 7 and 9 Sliding Canopy models.

A product demonstration video of the Van’ RV 6-7-9 ARC sunvisor assembly is available on YouTube by searching for ‘Rosen Vans RV’ or here:

The sunvisor system includes pilot-copilot assemblies and mounting hardware. The system is available for $440 a set and can be purchased direct through Rosen Sunvisor authorized distributors, Van’s RV, and Rosen Sunvisor Systems.
