Rosen Sunvisor Systems has introduced the ARC Sunvisor Assembly for Lancair Evolution aircraft.
Based on Rosen’s ARC sunvisor design, the sunvisor system provides Lancair Evolution aircraft owners flexible, multi-axis sun attenuation, stowage, glare reduction and pilot comfort during standard cockpit flight operations, according to company officials.
The ARC sunvisor system is designed to mount onto the Evolution headliner, providing center concentric mounting design that allows multiple deployment options, including forward, aft, side, and windshield and overhead positioning. The custom designed pivot mounts provide stable support, secure positioning, and stowage options.
“We worked closely with Lancair to develop this sunvisor system,” stated Gary Hanson, field engineer at RSS. “The design collaboration with Doug Meyer, head of Lancair sales, Mark Mahnke of RDD Enterprises, and the Lancair team, produced a flexible and highly effective sun attenuation system that is specific to the geometry of the Evolution cockpit.”
Flight tests were conducted by the Lancair team to confirm inflight effectiveness of the sunvisor system.
The sunvisor system includes pilot-copilot assemblies and mounting hardware. The system is available direct through Lancair (www.Lancair.com).
You realize that’s not an Evolution you’ve used a picture of, right?
Thank you for the note Richard. Sorry about that…
