AERO-Classics offers new FAA-PMA Oil Coolers for Grumman AgCat

By General Aviation News Staff · June 26, 2014 ·

AERO-Classics Heat Transfer Products now manufactures a factory new all-aluminum oil cooler that is FAA-PMA for installation on the Grumman AgCat.

The new P/N 8001819 oil cooler from AERO-Classics is a lightweight aluminum replacement for the original equipment 8-inch diameter brass oil cooler that originally came on the AgCat (and many other aircraft). In addition, the new AERO-Classics oil cooler is manufactured using a modern vacuum brazed core, replacing the fussy and problematic copper-tube type core of the original cooler, according to company officials.

SONY DSCAERO-Classics’ new P/N 8001819 oil cooler mounts exactly the same as the original oil cooler and accepts the same valve assembly as the original.

It also comes with a two-year, 2,000 hour warranty and FAA Form 8130-3.

It weighs less than one-half as much as the original brass oil cooler.
