X-Copter gets FAA nod

By General Aviation News Staff · July 30, 2014 ·

OSHKOSH — X-Copter is offering more than $7,500 in incentives for the lease or purchase of its next generation helicopter simulator during AirVenture 2014 taking place through Aug. 3. The new X-Copter is on display at the show in the HAI HELI-CENTER (Helicopter Association International) helicopter central.

After thousands of flight testing hours, X-Copter previewed its generation-one helicopter training device during HELI-EXPO 2014 in Anaheim, Calif. There, X-Copter shared features and capabilities of the simulator while anticipating FAA approval, company officials noted.

x-copter-helicopter-flight-sim-side-view“In addition to recent FAA approval, we are very excited about our new leasing and financing options for our customers. We will make it very easy for a flight school or individual to acquire an X-Copter,” stated Brandon Frett, director of simulation.

The company has already produced and delivered 14 production units with an additional 10 units on order and in production.

X-Copter currently offers helicopter flight simulation models for the Robinson R22 and R44. In development are the Robinson R66, Bell, and Schweizer models.
