iFlightPlanner launches trade-up program

By General Aviation News Staff · September 9, 2014 ·

iFlightPlanner has launched its Competitive Trade-Up Program, a new initiative that allows pilots using any competitive flight planning product to trade-in their existing subscription and have the time remaining on it added to their new iFlightPlanner Premium or Premium Plus membership.

2014-0908-iFlightPlanner-TradeUp_807“We continue to push the envelope of cloud-based flight planning technology but understand that it might not make sense to upgrade to a new EFB solution in the middle of a pre-paid subscription,” said Andy Matthews, iFlightPlanner’s Co-Founder and Director of Business Development. “With the launch of our new trade-up program, we make it incredibly easy for pilots to make the switch and experience all that iFlightPlanner has to offer, both on the web and in the iPad, right away.”

Here’s how to trade up:

  1. Purchase an iFlightPlanner Premium or Premium Plus membership.
  2. Send a picture or screenshot verifying the competitive subscription, including expiration date, to [email protected].
  3. iFlightPlanner will extend the new iFlightPlanner Premium membership by the time remaining on the competitive subscription, up to the length of the iFlightPlanner membership that was purchased.

iFlightPlanner recently introduced iFlightPlanner Premium Plus, a new pricing tier that includes georeferenced airport diagrams and approach plates in iFlightPlanner for iPad presented by Sennheiser, which joins iFlightPlanner Premium and iFlightPlanner Free to give pilots flexibility in selecting the flight planning membership that best matches their flying, company officials said.

While a one-time, 30-day free trial to iFlightPlanner Premium Plus is available via the App Store, pilots only have until Sept. 15 to take advantage of iFlightPlanner Premium Plus at its introductory price of $119.99. Company officials did confirm that this special price can be combined with the Competitive Trade-Up Program if purchased before the deadline.
