Airforms awarded PMA for Helio Courier axle

By General Aviation News Staff · September 29, 2014 ·

BIG LAKE, Alaska — Airforms, Inc. has announced another addition to its line of PMA replacement parts. This latest addition is Airforms’ Part Number AF250-040-495, a direct replacement for Helio part number 250-040-495 on all H-295 S/Ns.

The axle is manufactured from high-strength material and machined from a solid billet, Airforms officials said, noting  the torque plate on the OEM part is welded. The Airforms’ axle is then cadmium plated for increased durability and a long service life, officials noted. The axles are a drop-in replacement for the original part and can accommodate wheel-ski installations.

Completed Axle 2“Being headquartered in Alaska, we are keenly aware of the need for PMA parts that provide durability and long life – even when subjected to the brutal punishment of daily bush operations,” said Steve Hunter, sales and marketing executive at Airforms. “These axles will help to increase the dispatch reliability for the Helio fleet, and allow the operators of these aircraft to keep them flying — not sitting AOG waiting for parts.”

Airforms is a supplier of replacement engine baffles for a wide range of general aviation aircraft; products also include a line of turboprop aircraft PMA parts, STCs, and hard to source parts for fleet operators. Airforms maintains a FAA approved manufacturing system for PMA parts supported by an engineering department with FAA DER staff engineers.
