ATP Training Program Syllabus released

The Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program Syllabus eBook, the latest addition to ASA’s Pilot’s Manual Series, provides an integrated flight and ground training course for Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Airplane, and ATP-Restricted (ATP-R) Certification.

ASAThis new syllabus meets FAA requirements per Advisory Circular (AC) 61-138, and can be used in conjunction with supporting ASA textbooks to complete the necessary training, according to ASA officials.

The ground training portion of the syllabus is organized into four stages for a total of 30 hours of class work.

The flight training portion provides detailed lesson plans for a minimum of 10 hours in a flight simulator training device, which is broken down into both full flight simulator (FFS) and flight training device (FTD) lessons. Each lesson contains an objective, required training time, references, completion standards and more. Multiple-choice Stage Exams and a Final Exam are included.

The Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program Syllabus is available in eBook PDF format and includes access to the ASA ATP Resources eBook, which contains pertinent ACs, NTSB accident crash investigation summaries, and links to animations and videos.
