With Veterans Day circled on the calendar, the crew at Other People’s Airplanes, put the finishing touches on their Tora! Tora! Tora! video from AirVenture 2013. Tora! Tora! Tora! is a recreation of the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii flown by the Commemorative Air Force.

Did you knuckleheads not watch the video?if we don’t bring attention to this stuff, and do these things occasionally people will forget. Just like General Eisenhower said when you told me to take all kinds of pictures of the Holocaust because he said that if we don’t some day someobe will be saying this never happened.
What a great show.
Now we need to recreate the attack on the Twin Towers. That should be a good show too.
What’s the difference?
I hope that’s a facetious suggestion …
Same thing Brett, this show is disgraceful and most don’t realize it. They think it’s ‘cool’ to see a recreation of the most horrific murder of thousands in Hawaii back then. Same as the Twin Tower attack recently. So, as I said, what’s the difference?
You know nothing, Guido. This is done in remembrance. These pilots, and the supporting staff, and paying tribute to those whose lives were cut short that awful day. And as a reminder to us all how precious, and fragile, our liberty is.
Oh please! Re-enactors recreate famous battles all the time to try and give the rest of us a sense of what really happened. Do you whine at Gettysburg when they visually recreate the events of that battle?
