Bosco named UAA interim executive director

By General Aviation News Staff · November 13, 2014 ·

AUBURN, Ala. — Cassandra Bosco has been named interim executive director of the University Aviation Association (UAA). She takes up the responsibilities of retiring Executive Director Carolyn Williamson.

Bosco was appointed to the position while the association begins the search process for its next executive director.

Since 2004, Bosco has served as president of TailWinds Communications, offering public relations, event planning, and educational development programs specializing in the general aviation and corporate aviation industry.

Prior to forming TailWinds, she was director of public relations at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).

Bosco was a member of the University Aviation Association (UAA) in 1985, serving two terms on the board of trustees and as secretary in 1986. She also served as a founding board member for Women in Aviation International and in 2013 was inducted into the Women in Aviation Pioneer Hall of Fame.

The University Aviation Association (UAA), a nonprofit organization, represents more than 525 members consisting of educators, students, high schools, two- and four-year collegiate institutions offering aviation degree programs, and organizations and industry representatives that support collegiate aviation. The UAA also serves as the voice of collegiate aviation education to government, industry organizations and the general public.
