Wynne named AUVSI president

By General Aviation News Staff · November 19, 2014 ·

ARLINGTON, Va. — Brian Wynne has been named president and CEO of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, succeeding the retiring Michael Toscano on Jan. 12, 2015.

Wynne is now president of the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA), a post he has held since April 2004. The organization promotes battery, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fuel cell electric vehicles and infrastructure.

Toscano has headed AUVSI since 2008, following a career of more than 30 years in the Department of Defense.

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) — the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems and robotics — represents more than 7,500 members from more than 60 countries.
