The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) will hold its Science and Technology Forum and Exposition 2015 (AIAA SciTech 2015), Jan. 5-9 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
AIAA SciTech 2015, which combines 11 aerospace conferences under one roof, will draw registrants from nearly every field in the aerospace community, according to AIAA officials.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear more than 2,500 technical paper presentations – each debuting cutting-edge, world-leading aerospace technical and scientific research, according to officials. The forum’s exposition will feature the latest in aerospace technology from more than 50 companies.
AIAA SciTech 2015’s speakers include: James N. Miller, president of Adaptive Strategies, and former undersecretary of defense for policy, U.S. Department of Defense; Alton “Al” Romig, vice president, engineering and advanced systems, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company; Gwynne Shotwell, president and chief operating officer, SpaceX; and David E. Walker, deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for Science, Technology, and Engineering, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, U.S. Department of Defense.
Other featured speakers are: Wesley Harris, Charles Stark Draper Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Robert Pearce, director, strategy, architecture and analysis, Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, NASA; and Ashok N. Srivastava, chief data scientist, Verizon.
