Practical Guide to the Private Pilot Checkride released

By General Aviation News Staff · December 2, 2014 ·

New is “The Practical Guide to the Private Pilot Checkride,” which helps private pilot applicants organize and prioritize ground school materials and practical skills in preparation for the checkride.

Designed as a study guide, this book clarifies in “plain language” exactly what student pilots must know and demonstrate during the oral portion of the FAA Practical Exam, and provides information for the flight portion of the test, according to ASA officials.

unnamedIncorporating the specific task elements from the PTS, author Gregg Brightwell delivers information to help fill the gap between ground school textbook knowledge and the practical application of it. The Private Pilot Airplane PTS (FAA-S-8081-14S) is included in an appendix, and space is provided to make notes.

Softcover, 8.25″ x 10.75″, 136 pages, priced at $19.95. Also available in PDF and ePub formats, as well as an eBundle (print book + PDF).
