Nominations open for Lightspeed Aviation Foundation grants

By General Aviation News Staff · December 18, 2014 ·

Nominations and applications for Lightspeed Aviation Foundation’s 2015 grant program are now open. The deadline to receive nominations is Jan. 31, 2015, midnight PST. Applications will be accepted until Feb. 6, 2015, at midnight PST.

Each year, the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation recognizes a select group of aviation nonprofit organizations that are actively promoting growth in aviation or using aviation as an instrument for humanitarian causes.

Grant applicants should have a designated development director, website, an active Facebook page and the willingness and capacity to regularly engage and actively reach out to their constituencies and new supporters.

Nomination and grant application forms are available at the Foundation website.

Anyone may nominate an aviation charity. Those who nominate an aviation charity and “Like” the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation on Facebook will qualify to win Lightspeed Aviator Sunglasses valued at $350. The winner of the sunglasses will be contacted via email and announced on the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation Facebook page in February 2015.
