A new flight school, Latitude Aviation, has opened at Pappy Boyington Field (KCOE) outside Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
The school offers primary and advanced flight instruction, starting with a Cessna 150. In addition, Latitude Aviation will be teaching a Private Pilot Ground School through NIC’s Workforce Training Center starting Jan. 24.
“Latitude represents an approach to flight instruction that focuses on everything we pilots already know and love about aviation,” says founder and local CFII Jeff Fouche. “I love to fly, I’ve discovered I love to teach, so I decided to bring a cost-effective, accessible culture to the airfield to help other people achieve the privilege I love so much.”
For now, Latitude is hangared across from Aerostar behind the gate off Miles Avenue on the East side of the airport. Plans are in the works to find office and hangar space that is a little more accessible, he noted.
