The FAA flight advisory for Super Bowl XLIX has been issued. It describes the expected, but not final, plans for the Temporary Flight Restriction that will be in place during the Super Bowl.

A 10-nautical-mile ring around University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., where the game will be played, will prohibit general aviation traffic at both Glendale Municipal Airport (GEU) and Phoenix Goodyear Airport (GYR) from approximately 3:25 p.m. local time until 11:59 p.m. local time on Feb. 1, according to a report on the National Business Aviation Association website..
There will also be a 30-nautical-mile ring with basic squawk-and-talk restrictions between the 10-mile ring and the 30-mile ring. As long as pilots are talking to air traffic control and squawking the assigned code, they will be allowed to arrive and depart at any of the airports outside the 10-mile ring but inside the 30-mile ring.
It might be smart to invite a fully armed military drone or two to continuously patrol a 5 mile circle surrounding the Phoenix Stadium just in case an airborne threat slips through the squawk-and-talk zone.
